The Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici (CCSP), a non-profit cultural organization, was founded in Valcamonica in 1964. From the documentation and research experience gained in Valcamonica moves a great intellectual adventure, aiming at documenting, enhancing, and understanding rock art, transforming scientific research into culture and knowledge for all.

Recording Rock-Art Fieldwork in Valcamonica

Each summer, the Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici offers a recording rock-art fieldwork in Valcamonica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. Participants (university students in archaeology, anthropology, history and art history, but also researchers and enthusiasts) will be able to experience the different stages of working on the historiated rocks, from preparing the surfaces to managing the collected data.

BCSP - Call for papers

BCSP (Bulletin of the Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici) is a scientific journal published by the Center's publishing house, Edizioni del Centro. It bears witness to the progress of research in the field of rock art and to the study of prehistory more generally by publishing articles, research reports and accounts of recent discoveries from around the world.
