Recording Rock-Art Fieldwork 2023

In the wonderful framework of the Landmarks Valley, recognized as UNESCO heritage since 1979, the Centro Camuno of Studi Preistorici organize the annual recording rock-art fieldwork aims at the documentation of the rock art in the middle Valcamonica. Following the previous recording rock.art fieldworks, also this year the works will continue in the area of Foppe di Nadro – Riserva naturale incisioni rupestri di Ceto, Cimbergo e Paspardo (Valcamonica - Italy) on the concession of the Soprintendenza Archeologia , Belle arti e Paesaggio.
The fieldwork will be structured on 3 weeks, it is required the participation to at least 2 weeks.

XXVIII Valcamonica Symposium 2021

The Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici is once again organising the Valcamonica Symposium. More than a year after the start of the pandemic, which delayed numerous initiatives and prevented new research and interactions between institutions and researchers, this congress aims to facilitate communication and exchanges and to establish new contacts and collaborations, redefine objectives and facilitate planning.
The Valcamonica Symposium will be an opportunity to present new research and news on rock art sites from around the world; it will allow us to deepen the debate on specific issues, geographical locations and specific periods...

CALL FOR PAPERS BCSP

The BCSP (Bollettino del Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici) is the archaeological journal published by the “Edizioni del Centro”, the publishing house of the Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici (CCSP), focused mainly on Rock art and on the prehistoric and tribal art more in general. This periodical journal contains current articles, research reports and surveys on recent discoveries throughout the world. With the organization of the successful 20th INTERNATIONAL ROCK ART CONGRESS IFRAO 2018, the publication of the BCSP has been postponed for one year. It is now our priority to recuperate this time and we will now proceed to the publication of the number 44, 45 and 46 of the BCSP by the end of the 2019
